Free school meals

Some children are entitled to free meals at school and additional funding is also given by the government  to schools based on the number of pupils eligible for free meals. This is to support further educational attainment for free school meal pupils and is of great benefit to the school so we would encourage any parents who are eligible to consider applying.

This extra money could go towards things like extra tuition, learning assistants and after-school activities.

How to apply

To sign up for school meals, you will need to complete a pupil benefits registration/application form. Please download and fill out the form below, or collect a paper copy from the school office.

Current Eligibility Criteria:

Free school meals are available for all school-aged children in year three or above whose parent(s), carer(s) or guardians(s) receive one of the following benefits:

• Income Support
• Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance
• Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
• Support under part six of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
• Child Tax Credit only (provided you are not entitled to Working Tax Credit and your annual income does not exceed £16,190)
• Pension Credit Guarantee
• Universal Credit
• Working Tax Credit run-on (paid for four weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit).
