The School year runs from 1st September until 31st August and children start school in the year in which they will be 5. There is one intake of 45 children each September.
The LA produces a booklet each year entitled 'Starting School' with details of all the schools in Greenwich. Parents must apply to the Local Authority between November and January of the previous year by completing a Common Application Form. In addition a
Supplementary Form obtainable and returnable to the school must also be completed. The Governors meet to determine which children will be admitted and they will base their decision on the School’s published Admission Policy.
Casual vacancies (for children other than Reception) are dealt with in a similar way, applications are made to the LA using a Casual admissions Application form and completing a Supplementary Form. Again the Governors determine which applicants are admitted.
There are 52 Nursery places each year and children join the Nursery in the term after their third birthday. Parents should complete an application form available from the school if they wish to apply for a place.

Before the children join the Reception class, they will be invited to a ‘Meet the teacher’ session in school with their parents. At this meeting the Head teacher and class teacher will show the children around the school and to their new classroom. Parents will be briefed about school routines and how they can best support their child, when they start school.
