Young Voices
Posted on: 6th March 2012
On Tuesday, 6th March members of the choir set off to take The O2 by storm! Together with 6000 other school children from around London and further afield, they performed in the Young Voices Concert 2012.

We set off from school in high spririts ready for a long afternoon of rehearsing.  Once we arrived at The O2 we were able to find our seats and look in amazement at the size of the venue (its holds 20,00!!!).  After a 3 hour rehearsal of songs including a Queen Medley and traditional irish folk songs, we were able to have a well earned dinner and a rest before the actual performance.

The performance began at 7pm and from this point on the children did not stop singing or dancing (nor did the teachers!).  Complete with choreographed dance moves and twinkly torches the children sang along with Connie Talbot (finalist in Britain's Got Talent) and The High Kings.  The most exciting part came when all the children took part in, and succeeded in breaking a new world record for the most backing singers with one vocalist.  Even Miss Cahill joined in as one of the official adjudicators!

All the children had a fantastic time and we look forward to taking part again next year!
